A. We are an a cappella (without accompaniment) singing organization that specializes in Barbershop Harmony. We sing in the unique four-part style of music created in the US in the late 1800's. It is one of only two musical art forms that originated in the US the other being Jazz. See our history section for more information about how we were formed and what we do.
A. We sing all around the Capital District of Albany, NY. We are based in Saratoga Springs, NY, but we travel all over singing at many events throughout the year.
A. Just about anyone who wants to hear us. We have regular events in and around Saratoga like First Night, Hats Off, Final Stretch, national anthems for sporting events, churches, local Chambers of Commerce in surrounding towns and we even do charity work singing Christmas Carols at local adult communities in and around Saratoga in December.
A. Yes, from time to time we put on a show that features our chorus and its quartets and we bring in both local talent and long distant talent from around the US and sing usually in either the Middle School or High School auditoriums. Watch our website at Events for news about the next show.
A. Yes, each year we go out to homes and businesses and just about anywhere and deliver Singing Valentines to sweethearts all around the capital district. We usually deliver as many as 100 or more singing valentines on and a couple of days before February 14. We deliver one or two songs from a quartet dressed in Tuxedoes and also deliver a rose, some candy and a card to the recipient.
During the racing track season we deliver Barbershop on Broadway by performing at several Broadway locations to sing for strolling past.
A. You are currently visiting the best way to find out about what we do and when we do it. Just go to the calendar and all of our events are listed there. You can click on anything listed on the calendar and get more information or Contact Us.
A. Most certainly. Simply click on the Contact Us item in the main menu and you will find people you can contact to find out what our fees would be, if we are available for your date or any other information you may require.
A. We have chapter quartets available to sing, also. If you don't need the whole chorus, we provide smaller groups, as well.
A. That depends on what you want. How large of a group you want, how long you want us to sing, your location and a bunch of other variables. Our chorus contact person can give you all that information. We are very flexible and can do just about anything you want.
A. Our repertoire changes constantly. Each year we learn new songs and drop older ones. Please go to the "Our Current Repertoire" button in the main menu to view the songs we sing.
